We all know Halloween can be a pricey time. So if going and spending half your week’s money on a costume is not something you plan to do, we have a solution for you. Make your own! Making your own costume can not only be much cheaper, but can give a bit of originality to your outfit this Halloween (apart from if you’re planning on dressing up as Harley Quinn this year…)

The fancy dress experience has just opened up in central Headingley, just opposite the Headingley Taps. Here you can get all your fancy dress essentials, not just for Halloween. They have great costumes across a broad price range. Accessories for yourself and your house AND do next day delivery if walking down there is not an option. Easy.
The amazing party company is another price conscious fancy dress store in the city centre. They have a great range of all things fancy as well as a couple of other random bits for your liking.
If you’re looking for something a little more quirky this scary season then we have the place for you. Culture Vulture is a small store within the corn exchange well known for independent, offbeat and unusual offerings. They supply everything from costume-wear to sweets, well worth a visit.

Pickin’ Pumpkins
We all love carving a pumpkin, so why not make a day of it! Farmer Copley’s have a free pumpkin event just outside of Leeds. They have pumpkin picking and carving there, a great day out and you can get some creepy pumpkins too.
Yorkshire Scare Ground
Boasting itself as the “biggest, scariest and most exciting” Halloween destinations in Yorkshire, the Yorkshire scare ground is a haunted house type of attraction spreading over a 24 acre estate in Wakefield. The sneaky experience at Kirkstall Abbey
A great alternative to going the cinema. Kirtstall Abbey are putting on a fright fest this Halloween, all the classic spooky films will be shown within the Abbey, it all adds to the experience.
