Christmas shopping is officially upon us!
So Christmas shopping, its known for being stressful and expensive! BUT, we have some alternative shopping methods instead of the high street, which can help you save money and get some original handmade gifts.
Craft fairs are a great place to find great gift ideas which are bit different and special compared to the every day high street gifts. They also support local artists and businesses, so why wouldn’t you have a look around one?!
Esty Made Local: Leeds Christmas Market
Esty, famously know as the peer-to-peer online store, usually focusing on handmade, vintage and unique items, is bringing its online store to Leeds! The Christmas market will offer a number of different stalls from local crafters and designers which all tie in to Esty’s three main selling categories – Handmade, Vintage and Supplies.
The Christmas market is on 11am-4pm on the 3rd and 4th of December at Leeds City Museum, not one to miss!

Veg Out Christmas Market
Veg out is a popular vegetarian and vegan food festival which is held across many areas, however for Christmas they are changing it up a little. As well as the usual offerings of veggie treats they are going all out with their festivities. There a number of stalls advertised including local artists, food stalls, vintage stalls, cooking classes and our personal favourite… ‘mulled stuff’.
The veg out Christmas market is being held at Sheaf St Cafeteria on December 4th from 10am until 6pm.

Corn Exchange: Unique Gift Fair
Leeds corn exchange is know for its iconic architecture, as an interesting place to look around regardless of a Christmas event or not. However, saying that who doesn’t love a Christmas fair in an incredible building? The Corn Exchange are putting on two gift fairs over December, plenty of time to get your shopping done. Over 30 stalls are advertised selling jewellery, candles, furniture, artwork and much more! The fair’s held on December 10&11 and 17&18.

Belgrave Music Hall and Canteen
Belgrave are best know for their beers, music, pizza and monthly street food events. So it seems appropriate they hold a Christmas feast market. This years feast will have a number of food stalls, from a number of delicious independent sellers, along side this there will be an art market, carol singer, live music films and DJs. Everything kicks off at 11am until late.
